| Ken Oates - Associate Pastor, Pastoral Care | | | |
Ken Oates became a member in the fall of ’75 while attending Berry College, using his GI Bill (Air Force) to further his education. After 5 years of working in real estate, Ken came on staff as Youth Minister and served in that capacity for 15 years. During a church transition period, he served as Interim Minister of Music for over 2 years and then undertook his present role as Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care/Missions/Prayer.
Ken is a graduate of Berry College with two undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Music. Ken is married to Troylene, of Pelham, GA; they have two kids: Chris, who went to be with the Lord in ’96, and daughter Amanda, who was recently married to Matt Davis of Armuchee, GA.
Ken has a heart for people and desires to see each individual realize who they are in Christ and work that out in their everyday life. To Ken, missions is an excellent opportunity to reach out, stretch yourself and see God do what you can’t.
